    Parts Catalogues

I guess this may be old hat but I'll pass it on anyway
Just looking at a link via a news letter to Atlantic British, there are parts catalogues that can be downloaded which may be of interest to some, RRC, Disco1 and landrover '48 to 74.

If everyone downloads copyright breached parts manuals there will be no market for people like Haynes (ex-Brooklands Books) to re-print them. Then I won't be able to buy them.

Just my opinion, from an old anachronistic organism!

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

They may be available freely from the link, but have they paid royalties to the owner of the copyright, that allows for free distribution?

Are they Chinese or Eastern European who don't care who they steal from?

There are many many parts catalogues available for lots of stuff free of charge or for nominal costs as these are a tool to sell their products.
I think some are getting a bit confused with workshop manuals which generally have copyright protection.
I have many parts catalogues both electronic and hardcopy that were obtained free and legally from suppliers for motorbikes, quadbikes, buggies, land rovers, etc etc. Having said that I have seen some people try and charge up to $50 US for parts catalogues that are avialable for free. I do not even mind paying for decent hard copies such as the 4wheeldrives Land Rover catalogue as it is a great reference book.
