    Off to Yass again

In a couple of hours i will be off to Yass again, this time for a birthday party on Saturday for two girls, one of whom will be three and the other ten.

Their birthdays are not for a while yet (ten days and six weeks), but it is taking advantage of the long weekend for other relatives to get there. The one who will be ten agreed to have her party early, as her sister was expected to be born on about her birthday, although that is not now a factor. It will be nice to go there for a celebration rather than the last trip.

Should be away until about Tuesday, but I should be able to get on line from there, albeit not as regularly.

Do you mean that now that you live in Melbourne you understand why someone would prefer to be in Yass?
I lived in Yass for 23 years. Great place - and not just for visiting.

Tonight, after a trip to the supermarket (to get food for the pet rabbit of all things), had to wait for a long queue of traffic coming from Wee Jasper to turn right - The first five vehicles were Landrover 6x6s, almost certainly army. It was dark, only saw the headlights and the wheels as they went past, everything else was above the low beam of my lights. Army is the only people who could muster that number of 6x6 Landrovers.

I guess that's one way to guage the length of a trip.

How many times did I have to change the candles in the headlights?

Recently rewired the headlights, although the Defender is still waiting on rain and clutch repairs, I go outside and sit there at night just to admire how bright the headlights are now.

    Cheers

Another point - filled up when I got to Yass - cost $210! (Last fill up was in Canberra on the last trip - 117litres for 1025km)
