So, you were just spooling up the cable on the winch drum or practicing your recovery practices and you discovered that the roots were stuffed and the tree fell down.

Bloody lucky you were far enough away and it didnt kiil you........Might be a case to SUE the council as you had just had them out to check the tree to have it removed and it was apparently safe and because of it's looks it had to stay, it could have killed some one blah blah blah.

You just keep threatening legal action and they back off.

If you were to cut down 5 or more trees then they would have a case but you wont find 1 case where someone has knocked 1 tree in their yard and the council has been succesful in charging them.

It is just annoying and they drag it out so that when they send out their "fine" then you cant be bothered with fighting it and just pay it.

As stated, its to late to ask for permission, if the tree was already cut down
For you to suggest this is so completely STUPID and irresponsible.

You are meant to do it under the dirt so they cant see it... sheeesh!

You could always get Dirtdawg and his 200tonne one he was talking about a while ago

We had 2 20 tonners and a 15 tonner doing some tree work a while ago, if I could post vids I would but 1x20t had a single tine ripper ripping out the roots and the 15t was knocking them over while the other 20t had a claw sort of thing that ripped the wood to pieces and then dumped it in the chipper.

We were really lucky, one of the local comercial garden suppliers wanted the chips for east link so we got rid of the stuff straight away for nothing.

    Yeah right...

And you would be so happy if the next "bikie" fortress was built next door with a 12 foot sleeper perimeter..

Or if the neighbour wanted to paint their house neon pink and fit an outhouse out front with no door...

Get real... Guidelines and rules are required....

You know what councils SHOULD BAN... LAWNS.
