Well, I'm not surprised about the Porsche, lets face it, Porsche have been building the same basic car since 1964.

If they have not got it right after 45 years, they should be taken out and shot!

I had to smile when I saw the worst of the worst, was a JEEP

So if you have a LR, you can expect, on average to have one and a half problems in the first three months.
If you have a Porsche you can expect 0.87 of a problem.

Is that how I should read those figures?

If so, it doesn't seem like much of a difference to me.

But then I have never bought a new vehicle in my life, so perhaps I am not the right person to comment on new vehicles.

I don't think it means much. The survey is for the first three months, big deal.I would like to see the same thing done after 3-5 years.I like the way Lexus and Toyota were near the top, they have had so many recalls they lost thier automatic ''best buy'' tag. Pat

So reading this BMW, Mazda and Subaru are below average quality. I wonder if owners of these vehicles feel they are below average?

Lets face it LR's are not that greater quality ...... also noticed a lot of the other euro cars are in the bottom half as well ..... oh but they are so much better than ford and holden ........ balder dash .

I still love my disco tho .

This is fine if you buy a new car each year, but if you look at all those brands after 10 years its easy to see the reality of the situation. Porsche are good, no doubt about it either new or old. But 3 months means jack. Take an older hiundai for a spin and then try to tell me they are better quality than subaru, bmw, volvo. It a load of rubbish. Initial fit an finnish is nice but 3 months in no way reflects the time/money/effort that went into the core engineering of the car, so to me this survey is a bad way to jude a cars quality.
