The downloadeble stuff on the 'net is only a fraction of the original book's contents. I haven't heard about another new print apart from the link I sent you earlier.

Same author but it seems to be a different book, mainly focused on the in and outs of the various types of 4WD's. I would be interested in tracking down one of the expedition guides as well. Loks like a good read.

Yep - definitely a different book. It is also for sale on the US site for US$48.

Well, if you have a closer look, they also offer the VDEG for £40 plus shipping, which turns out half the price compared with the US supplier. Bugger .
The four-by-four driving book also comes as "The Land Rover Experience", about the same content, more focus on LR models, published by and available through LR (still, I hope).
