You blokes are lucky to have internet access at work
    We are not allowed
It sure would help the slow nights pass by
Its a fine line - but in our roll (Emergency Services) it passed the time away while we are quiet.

And the past few night apart from general vehicle & equipment checks has been quiet......

Nope plenty of people here missing fingers, a woman killed not long ago, followed by a dumbass, removeing the tip of his pointer, 'tis a nasty place to work if your stupid.............a prerequisite to work here apparently

Don't get me wrong there are some good operators, but some call up with problems with machines after working here for 5,10 even 20 years, the equivelant of leaving your handbrake on in your car, getting a mechanic to check it out, because you'd simply forgotten how your machine works

One bloke missing 3 fingers from years ago, stuck his hand in a lock valve, it chewed his fingers off, gone forever where they went, when asked why he put his hand in there, he said "I didn't know what was in there"

Oh yeah, the wifes a 'shiftie' too..

Works 2km down the road (same company different plant)

Shes a CRO at the Filter/Flux Plant...

But when our breaks line up we get a week to do stuff

(And 2x 6 figure incomes dont hurt either )

Ooohh - That's be nice! My missus is in your std $45K a year 9-5 job. Good but nothing like six figures. Hope you've got your mortgage paid off by now. We've got about $40K to go on ours I think.
