    became a civil servant and suffered a wage cut of over 50% so as to be able to go home every night after 20 yrs workin away mon to friday ,and by god its hard to get used to new pace of life 60km/hr (max)

    Working the Afghanistan Shift

    I am on here because...I am my boss...5.5 hrs behind Eastern Aust. Been here since Jan 06. 4mths on, one off, business class home. Me and Emirates Air are good mates

    Paid of a house in Melb inside two years, bought land and building a house in Mozambique right next to the beach. Funding, my wife and a daughter in their Nursing Degrees, son has just finished two years of hospitality at TAFE, daughter just finishing her VCE and also starting a Nursing Degree next year. Still have a daughter and son at High School...yes, that is right...a total of 5 kids.

    Bought a good 2nd hand car each for my mother and daughter this year. Me and the Missus spent Sept last year between Paris and Spain.

    Earning more than most with incentive bonuses....and....TAX free since Jan 06...no...... I do pay Tax........on my DFRDB Pension..$5k a yr.
