    Cheap Chainsaw

    Hi all,
could`nt resist at the price $99.
Thought Id try a little experiment. I have used a lot of chainsaws over the years and really dont expect this 1,2 last like the quality brands but the price diff is getting redic. Its really designed as a small pruning saw but it could be very handy 4 bush camping & 4x4ing. I used it 4 the first time yesterday & it ran fine. Its extremely compact but with a thumping 25ccdonk its hardly a power house, although with a sharp chain & a few strategic cuts u might be suprised what u might get through in a bind.
The design with the handle over the motor makes it very convienient 2 use & because of the lower power kickback would be at the lower end of the scale.
The other (orange) saw in the pic is an echo 35cc model but costs closer 2 $700 just 2 give u a comparo.
Anyone interesed can purchse them from (u guessed it) Bunnings. A new chainsaw 4 less than a tank of fuel, I could`nt resist, maybe Im just a sucker, time will tell.

Hmm... this is exactly what I need. I was thinking about going with a Husky but I can't afford the outlay right at the moment however I have a few jobs which need pursuing very soon so I might just get one of these little things.

I bought a small saw for a job a couple of weeks ago. I needed a small saw I could climb up a ladder with and my 042 and 066 were not suitable. I could not bring myself to buy anything from Bunnings and bought a good 12" Husquavarna for around $250 on special from the local dealer.

Funny I bought one last weekend. I thought I'd throw it in the back for fire wood and just incase we have a fallen tree accros our path. It was so cheep that if it dies I'll just throw it away!

    Cheers,

That also sounds like good value but I thought I`d give this a mention particuarly 4 its compact size, U know us D1 drivers , its always a struggle with storage space.
My other gripe with the expensive brands is that the parts can even be more expensive. 4 example , 2 replace the pull start on a shidawa blower will cost u more than the chinese copy I MEAN THE WHOLE MACHINE. Its frustrating , but thats another story.
    Cheers Dean.

You pay for what you get.
A chain for my Baby saw is $51.00
    The 125cc monster is $100.
Yours is great for pruning and firewood, when it dies grab a newby.
Ask for a local AULROian to show you how to sharpen a chainsaw. It easy enough but someting you need to be shown how to do!!!!! Not something that you can find from a cornflakes packet, there is an art to it
