Overview
The Engineering program at ECU is a well supported and expanding area. The University has excellent teaching and research facilities and offers a wide range of undergraduate programmes supported by extensive research activities in acollaborative and collegial working environment. ECU’s Engineering has established a niche in Motorsports, backed by the latest design tools and manufacturing facilities. ECU’s Motorsport students were part of the team which won the WA Formula Ford championship in 2007, the first year that they participated in the event. The team is now engaged in the design and fabrication of a Formula SAE race car with an intent to compete in the international competitions in this category from next year. There are numerous engineering projects associated with this development which enhance students’ learning opportunities across a range of engineering disciplines, and provide many linkage opportunities with industry for the academic staff involved. ECU’s engineering programmes also include Mechanical and Mechatronics.
The successful applicant will undertake a proactive role in the motorsports engineering field in relation to undergraduate teaching, curriculum development, and research. Working with a multi-disciplinary team, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to contribute to the further expansion of our programmes.
Benefits & Remuneration
This ongoing, full-time position attracts remuneration of $81,161 to $96,381 pa (Level
or $99,421 to $114,640 pa (Level C) including 17% University superannuation contribution, with a salary component of $69,368 to $82,377 (Level
pa or $84,975 to $97,983 pa (Level C). ECU offers salary packaging options and generous annual leave.
