Thread: cape york

Hi Everyone,

I have joined this forum only recently. It's been a great resource for a new Land Rover owner.

My bride and I are heading off on our honeymoon this saturday morning (12th July 2008). We are driving to Cape York and back from Murwillumbah NSW....
A 5 week trip.

We have both done 4WD courses for work accreditation but haven't actually done much off road driving. We are able therefore to have an accredited accident while at work in the middle of nowhere.

We are looking forward to the trip but are also a little scared about what we may find and what we have never attempted (creek crossings/break downs etc). I have seen the recent travel log on this forum (sorry I cant recall who posted it..a fellow from the Gold Coast I think) and feel maybe a little confident about the road ahead.

I am wondering if anyone from this forum will be travelling up the Cape at this time? we are travelling in a silver Disco II (nsw au 62 zo). If you see us give us a bell on the UHF. It'd be good to meet some like minded souls on our journey.
