    Why two snorkels?

    Another potentialy stupid question.- I've got plenty

    Why do some people run two snorkels? What's the second one for?

    Because some people fit bigger motors than the piddly rover V8 and need more air

    A friend has a County with a 4BD1T and two snorkels. The left hand one is plumbed into the footwells for ventilation using rainwater and greywater fittings. It has two greywater butterfly valves to control air flow into either footwell. Beats hell out of LR's no ventilation system.

    Mate had 2 on his TD5

    One fed cleaner air into the heater intake. He spent a lot of time in slop/mud and found the heater intake on the wing sucked in water etc...


    Its also a good place to route cabling for roof lights etc...

    I want to do this as I too have found water over the bonnet enters the heater box and fogs the bloody windscreen up, and you can't see jack for 10 minutes.
    And it looks cool.
