    Gnomesville

    Hi Guys
CraigEs much better half celebrated her 40th at her sisters farm in Lowden(between Mumbalup and Donnybrook).Anyhow,up the road there is a place called gnomesville, its gnome world wide just google it.
There are THOUSANDS of Gnomes all with their own titles.
Craig mentioned we should create an AULRO area,I say yep.
We want donations of Gnomes that suit you as an AULROian with your name on its head.
We need some scale model Landys to attract attention to the display.
Probably best posted to CraigE as his inlaws farm is close to Gnomsville.
Must admit.impressed the hell out of me,Gnomes from all over the world were there.

Andy - you sure you haven't been working too hard???

IMHO - this is the best use for garden gnomes:
Die screaming with sharp things in your head!!!

The PO of our place had a few hundred apparently. We sold the ones we dug up in the yard on ebay... the above website helped our sales figures

    Love the gnomes.

As my great uncle was the manufacturer of "Supreme" rat- and mouse-traps, I was particularly taken with the "Where's the Cheese" gnome. I hope that I can get one. (fingers crossed).

BTW: the machine used to make these is now with the "Powerhouse" Museum, in Sydney.

    Best Wishes,

I think this needs a more holistic approach. Perhaps someone could take a small pile of dirt and make up a small off-road track for the AULRO gnomes to stand on watching a recovery.

There used to be a garden shop in Logan City that sold " Naughty Gnomes". The gnomes and Seven Dwarfs were engaged in lewd and un-natural acts. The owner told me the most popular reason for purchase was to sneak them into a toffee-nosed neighbours or relatives garden.

Ok, home tonight. Thoughts are get a couple of 1 1/18th Landrovers with AULRO stickers on the roof and place on one of the hills or banks with an assortment of Land Rover AULRO Gnomes. Maybe a Toyota being recovered by a Fender. Battery in the camera was flat so no pics. However next time we are down will get some pics and hopefully a few gnomes in place to start the ball rolling and as people either visit or send them will get them down there. May take some time as it will be a few months before we get back down. My plan is to buy some unpainted gnomes and paint them like they are wearing AULRO jumpers with names on back and forehead. Since I was last there 18 months ago the place has had a huge population explosion. Rather different.
For any of you heading down that way it is worth a visit. It is locted on Welington Mill road about 8kms from Lowden (Ferguson Valley General Store). App 25kms from Donnybrook off Blackwood Rd. A good drive to Wellington dam and surrounding areas as well.
