    So what's been going on?

    Hey all

Long time, no type. My '00 Td5 has been off the road for a couple of years and I've just had it re-registered. I missed it ad I wanted it back.

The gearbox was the start of the trouble a couple of years back - really bad problem somewhere between 5th and 2nd on the layshaft, which I understand are adjacent to each other on the shaft. I had another couple of vehicles on the road so the Defender was mothballed.

Anyhoo - I've just bought a 2nd hand R380 with 30k on the clock from Land Vehicle Spares (thanks Brian - you're a very helpful bloke and so are your staff) so she'll be right as rain again soon. I can't wait. I realllllly miss driving her.

So - after not being off-road for a cople of years, is there still anywhere to go around Sydney that's still open?

    Good to be back

    Cheers
    Chris

I wondered what happened to you, Chris. Did you go to the 60th at Cooma - I know you are often there?

Oh, BTW, if you are looking for a reasonably priced red wine, check out the Gossips Cabernet Sauvignon from Dan Murphy's. About $4.70 per bottle when bought by the case. I usually buy a couple (of cases).

    Hi Ron

Yup - I went to Cooma for the 60th and had about 15 vehicles stay on Omaroo - Brice's mob and a few from Adelaide. I was busy tending to them so only made it into town briefly to see the show.

I offered my place to people, but some within the club decided to ignore the offer - so it turned out that we had a few friends stay for the week. All a bit dissappointing really - it was such a better place to stay than Polo Flat. C'est la Vie - we had fun anyway.

It's just about time to get more grog. We're nearly through the 40 dozen cases we bought a couple of years ago

Will try to get around to actually going on trips again - so hopefully see you on one of those!

    Cheers
    Chris

I wasn't aware you knew Ron that well,
