    Any good ways to track a vehicles history?

    Guys,
    Have been trying to track down as much info as i can about my D2's history since it came from the insurance co as a repairable write-off with no books etc.

    It has a Trivett tyre cover on the back and was previously NSW registered so i gave them a call as first port of call presuming it would at least have been supplied/serviced by them to some extent earlier in its life.

    Unfortunately they are coming up with no record of it being through them either by previous rego or vin which has left me a bit stuck as to how to progress.

    Not sure how much info LandRover Australia will be able to give me centrally about the vehicle's history so thought i would see if anyone out there has any ideas on how best to proceed for if there's anything i can do to see how well it has been serviced etc for the last 9 years....

    Land rover should be able to give you a lot of history, not the owners details, but the vehicle's history.

    Just given Land Rover Australia's central customer services number a call now and to say they were not much help would be an understatement.

    They have records of the cars existence at least but not even any info they can give me on who the supplying dealer was let alone who serviced it.

    Other than phoning round all the NSW dealers and hoping the one that supplied it hasn't gone out of existence since 1999 i think i'm a bit stuffed, and even then there's no guarantee it was purchased in NSW even if it was last registered there.
