Nope, they just cut the end off it for us in oz, same as they didn't think we needed to know how fast the VXR8 went round the track last week.
They came in 39th out of 46 overall, and 3rd out of 5 in class. Clarkson reckoned they would have made top ten if hammond hadn't bingled it.


Also, I'd love to know who did the wheel changes, they said they'd lose 5 laps while they were changed. At 2.20 + per lap thats around 11 min to change tyres

Thanks for that, I did think it seemed to be cut off suddenly with no final results or discussion....shame as was a great episode. I also wondered about the tyre change??

I noticed that there were 3 drivers names listed on the car - and the Stig wasn't one of them.

Someone with more nouse than I might also be able to check how many drivers were allowed for each car in that race.

You do get an appreciation for just how good The Stig is and how well they prepared that car both before and the talent those guys had in fixing it during the race after the midnight shunt it got.

The other thing it shows is Clarkson really isnt a team guy Captain Slow (hes not as bad as they try to make out and hes certainly the most technically attuned of them) and Hampster were really trying to get the beamer through the night and those last couple of hours and looking after the tyres and nursing her home. Boofhead Clarkson whose not uncapable in driving either, just a boofhead shredded them, needed another pit stop and lost the time advantage. if i was the team manager id have taken him out behind the shed and given him a good one and explained the concept of team and strategy.

was soooo close to picking the dihatsu but have a thing for yellow cars

i thought it was pretty entertaining

The signage on the sides of their BMW was brilliant, especially when they opened the doors?. I had to explain it to my 6yr old, he loved it, oh wot a Father and Son moment that was, priceless !
