Is it possible that IPSWICH is the common denominator in all your tribulations and not just you?![]()
IVe thought of that but the same sort of stuff used to happen to me in Sydney, Darwin and Albury Wodonga.
I think its some sort of curse/understanding I have going with Murphy....
he gets to dick with me in lots of ways but always lets me get out of it alive and reasonabley unscathed. Ive got more than my fair share of stories that usually end with people asking "and how the hell did you get out of that alive and unbroken?"
At the end of most days If its all gone terribley terribley wrong and if in the process of getting something absolutley critical to work I need to try something outrageously stupid that should have no odds of working even if its technically possable I'll pull it off or If i need an obscure item that no-one in their right mind would have/carry or be able to make some little bell will tinkle in the back of my mind and reminding me that I saw one of those a while back and when I make the phone calls to try and get it the person I need to talk to will be right next to the phone, know exactly what Im talking about and be willing to let me have it. If Im haveing a particularly bad run they will also come around bringing the item that I need and invariabley have something else I needed that I didnt know I was going to need.

I was going to say something clever but the merest thought hadn't even begun to speculate about the slightest possibility of crossing my mind!
Good on you dave.
I like your writing style, reminiscent of another author we are both obviously aware of, my favourite.

RIP Bucko - Riding on Forever
hatch was stoved in ,rear glass only held together by tinting. The risers of my bar punched nicely into the exact spot that the little drop down bit of the rear hatch that has the handle and number plate with about an inch to spare on either side and both tail lights while unbroken were popped and seemed to be hanging by the wiring.
Should be repairable as there didnt seem to be any major damage to the side work or the subframe that holds the lock although Id guess that the lock is going to be twisted up...
