    '04 Defender Queries

    Hey guys my names jimmy iv been a land rover fan for a few years now and im finally looking at buying one! Iv got my eye on a '04 130 crew cab. Could anyone please advise me what to look/listen for as it will be my daily driver and i cant afford to make any mistakes! Also, it has close to 80 000kms on the clock so any info on what expenses i could be coming up for would be greatly appreciated, thanks for that!

    Hi JimmyH & Welcome,

    Try doing a couple of searches first 'cause there will already be a lot of discussion on this type of topic. For a start, try:
    Buying TD5 Defender - you'll get about 60 threads, or
    Buying 130 - you'll get about 60 threads on this too

    80,000Km is pretty reasonable. How much are they asking for it? What accessories fitted?

    I've got an '02 and they have a habit of leaking from the fuel regulator at the back of the engine ($300-400 fix), plus the 'normal' wiring loom issues that you will discover if you search on TD5.....

    Thanks for that david, ill look those up. Im hoping to take it for a test drive this weekend, he wants 32k for it,iv been watchin 130's for a while now and it seems like the right money? The only accessories fitted are a bullbar, sidesteps, tow bar and aftermarket rims/tyres. Snorkel and winch would have been nice but you cant have everything!
