Thumbs down Beware when cutting steel in thermals.

Had a smoking end to the week, lucky no burns, but hhhmmm wont do that again.
Its been cold week in the shadow of the mountain, so thermal top and bottoms is the go. Been putting this messy job of all week but the sun was out and thats good when working with water. Got the gas axe going, cutting away in an odd position as the sun was behind me, glare on the goggels. Hurry hurry more gas = globs of steel landing on weld jacket, move and they fall of But!!.
Burnt a hole through fire retardent jacket (smoldering) underneth work pants ,shirt and polyblend thermal long johns on fire.More than sunlight keeping me warm now, glad boxers arnt more flamable, as they saved me from a nasty burn.
Trying to explain double burnt out groin to wife.

    Well that was clever...

Glad you're okay mate, but jesus! Wearing thermals while flaming? Of all the synthetic clothing around, thermals are probably the most flammable you can think of!

Glad you're physically ok but I think you need your head checked!
