Yes you can. My only experience with towing trailers on sand is on Bribie a few times. Not interested in making it a regular occurrence, as I reckon it is too much for the vehicle. At least, on soft sand it is. Fraser's beach is a lot harder packed.

I don't know about you, but even with my fully galv Cape York trailer, I'd think twice taking it into that environment.

Vehicles, Sand and salt is my worst nightmare.

You can take them to Fraser. I've had mine on Teewah Beach and even in the soft stuff my V8 manual Disco1 had no problems. Well one problem getting out the first cutting but I just turned it around and took the second cutting.

Not sure how you would go getting them up the soft tracks that go around the headlands though.

As Justin said, you do have to think about salt and sand... but I gave mine a good preparation beforehand, and several really thorough cleans after and I have no sign of drama 2 years on.

It's not camper trailer related, but Vladtapes also wrote a couple of fraser trip reports that I found really helpful before our trip.

!!! We noticed heaps of vehicles 'returning to their natural state' in FNQ this year, one Magna had lost so many electrons that it was nearly half a Magna

I really dislike corrosion, but it is a fact of life in the tropics. No need to make it worse by driving on salty, sandy beaches though is there

Corrosion is a real bugbear for aircraft up here too.

I was always hoping to see an old 60 series Cruiser wagon where the roof had just rusted completely off

BTW Is your camper the same variety as mine?

Make sure you "air down" on the trailer too.Also helps if the trailer has an identical track.If it hasnt 1 wheel follows the tow vehicle the other will plow its own track making it much harder to pull.
