Well done. Actually there are some who say that the Falcon motor is a better bet than the Holden. I wouldn't know myself, but they're not an uncommon conversion.
After sulking around over the weekend with my poor ol disco off the road with a cooked motor, I went and paid one of our local cockys a visit and found this out the back along with a collection of old classic holdens and falcons. 0818081340-00.jpg Has a 250 Falcon motor that needs some attention as it apparently over heats. It is extreamly tidy and straight with not a hint of rust anywhere on the doors fire wall or chassey. Not bad for $250 i thought. After getting home went and saw our local mechanic (who knows the vehicle) and found out will be no problem getting it relicenced with the falcon motorThe tray needs a tidy and the steering is a bit sloppy but I'm happy.

Nice looking truck!
Where abouts did you find it?
Make sure you attack everything with the lanolin and killrust to make sure your firewall and chassis stay happy. It is easier to do it while it is still perfect than to try and replace it later!

Top stuff.
.......and a great price to boot.
Well actually was buying a suzuki trayback from same bloke when i found her sitting there in the cockys gravel pit surrounded by several fj holdens. Live in a little wheat belt town of Hyden (Wave Rock) bout 500km west of Perth (so no salt air hense no rust).
Nice one. I've got a cast iron xflow and auto in my shorty. She just loves the soft sand. You can't go wrong with that buy. They need an overdrive for the highway though.
