Drip Irrigation -not LR related in any way
Sorry this is way off topic, but I know there's a few farmers, agricultural types on here ...
So I have just put in a dozen or so new fruit trees and want to put in some drippers for them.
I have rainwater water tanks sitting on the slope slightly above the trees.
I'm just going to run drip line directly from the tank outlet without a pump.
What are the best type of drippers to use for this application ?

Regular drippers will require a pump to operate smoothly, if pressures are too low, dripping will be intermittent or vary in flow rates between drippers.
There is a new product on the market, a green coloured drip line, with drippers pre inserted, that is designed to run purely from tank supply with no pump. They should have loose drippers available as well.
Try Holman industries (manufacturer), and ask for a local distributor.

Also, if the water is not crystal clear make sure you use a filter. Even little bits of muddy water will clog up the fine passageways in drippers. At the end of the line put in an on/off tap so you can flush the lines once a year.
We use 2 drippers per vine, both 2L per hour = 4L/hr per vine, so the roots are not concentrated around a single spot.
