I feel your pain to some degree, everytime I do a trip in mine something else breaks :(
But then I go places in it, like I did on Monday, and I'm all better again

If your parents named you Elmo wouldn't you want to get back at them? When it starts veering towards lamp posts, you know it's time to sell................:o
So whats wrong now Mick.(still the gearbox?).As i have said to you i had a bad run with my 95 disco but my 91 hasn't been to bad(some breakages but it is 17 yrs old)Do what i did and buy a spare car so you have plenty of spares.:D
Its a disco say no more ;):wasntme:
Ive had plenty a Rover and by far the most reliable has been my Tdi Defender (touch wood) not that helps you
Sorry to hear about your woes , Its a hard decision wheather to put up with it or unload it ,but what ever your decision it will be the right one:D
Options:
1. Get it right - be patient - damn the expense.
2. Patch it together and rename her "Hellmo"
3. Go to one of those UK forums and ask for advice:p
4. Sell it and call yourself "Hadalandy"
I like option 1! (But it's not my money! ;) )
I was thinking "Gaveuponlandy"....... :p
Mate, i had 100 series tojo before i saw the light. It was a good, capable 4wd. Then i started to break it one trip after another, it broke. it cost a bucket load of cash to keep it on the road. Then...then i saw the light i got rid of it. Bought myself a real 4by, i bend, i break it, regularly. It's all part of the 4wd game. It's great fun. Isn't it ? It still costs a **** load. Bend it, break it, get it towed, get it fixed. That's 4wding.

Then again..........
I'll refrain
