Thread: Inner east Melb repairers and ZF exch.

I realise that there is a recommended suppliers section, but I'd like to know specifically if anybody knows of any good Land Rover mechanics in the INNER east of Melb, like Richmond/Hawthorn/Camberwell/Kew area.

I'd also like to know more about the so called ZF "exchange" program - particularly whether physical damage to torque converter, converter housing and engine backplate would present a problem to an exchange.

Deakon Automotive, ULR, or Melb city LR are about the only ones I can think of off hand.

I havnt heard of the ZF exchange but most of the time any change over units you need one that is in 1 piece rather than one that is in many smalller pieces.

Try A&B transmissions, LRA (Les Richmond automotive), Deakons or Mornington prestige for a ZF rebuild.
