Sadly Stevo...that comment sums you up in a nutshell
Well NM, perhaps you need to re read my comments, plus also have an understanding of the comment in the first place i.e it is an "in" joke of sorts. There's nothing sad at all and if you think that some writing on a forum is the sum of an individual well I guess you are entitled to your opinion.

    And ditto Ron

    Regards

    Stevo

Um, goodness me.... I responded far too strongly in this quote, it wasn't warranted and I over reacted.

    Stevo68;

I have read your post re: above , in my personal opinion , you don't come accross as Self-centered what soever , you do form strong opinions about some things and I see that as being passionate about the subject on debate.

I started this thread so that I could find out if Mick had been banned from this site permanantly , that also really peed me off to see him banned ,althou for 7 days , Mick is a really nice Bloke ,i first met Mick face-face at Cooma , we had many laughs and MAN Beers , he then invited me to his 30th birthday , so I flew down to Melbourne for his 30th birthday and he showed me around his town of Colac, Mick never gets fired up that easily unless something really ticks him off, but as has been said if someone is getting under your skin you can report it to the MODS but I doubt Mick would , knowing Mick he would deal with it himself....

It seems some of you take comments personally whereas I can't see them that way.

As a result, I stay out of the arena.

I'd be happy to have a drink with any of you.

    Funny read
I have been on the boards for a number of years, mainly when I have an interest in a topic, or when living as an Expat, I usually found some forum some where that would keep you up to speed on the where what’s and whys etc.

Trust me this forum is tame, and that is down to the mods. Good work mods is about all I can say on that. oh and the high caliber of posters.

I have been on boards where posters have been arrested, deported, and in 2 cases encouraged to confess for what they have posted (thank GOD we live in aussie/ or the west) I have also seen boards confiscated ( court order ) posters interviewed by the prevalent security service. ( think FFTM FSB PRS ) as I have.

Any way, posters will read differently a post written by some one they know, over someone they only know online. that’s just human nature.

finally, the golden rule DOINT FEED THE TROLL.

NB blocking don’t work because some one is sure to quote

I can't help it if to me, you come across as self-centred and opinionated...Stevocentric. Doesn't mean I don't like you, although I find your posts terribly long winded and quite frankly can't be bothered to read them most of the time
I am yet to see any evidence of this, but as you imply we all read things a bit differently. I found Stevo's posts to be honest in that he is happy to admit to his faults and let us all enjoy his funny mistakes. His ego plays very little role in his posts and his primary concern is with entertaining and sharing knowledge with others. But he is also vocal about sticking up for other people which is far from very being Stevocentric. There are a number of people who I think typify/define this site and Stevo68 is one of them.

Should he have used Dobbo as an example to make his point? It is debatable, but it has nothing to do with being Stevocentric.

I have since met him a couple of times and he is just as affable in person. I am also looking forward to doin' time with Dobbo on the CCCCC trip as he seems like he would be entertaining around a campfire.

All the more reason for us to get grammar and punctuation correct ! A few mild disagreements have started on this forum due to nothing more than misreading a poorly constructed sentence.

You will have noticed that I like taking poorly constructed sentences and "misreading" them to give a totally wrong or different point - usually in an attempt at humour.
