    Tdi 300 Intercoolers

    Hi All

Just found out that our Defender 97 Tdi 300 has damaged fins on the intercooler. There has been some postings about Jase's upgraded intercoolers. Could anyone help out as to how to purchase one of these items or put us in contact with someone who can.

    Thanks
    Dan & Sue

How bad is the damage? If its just the fins that are damaged, it probably won't matter, unless you specifically want the upgrade?

You received some help with contacting Jase in the other thread. If you don't have any luck, I may be able to help with a stock intercooler - where are you located?

Found out the intercooler had a small leak in the core as well.

    Thanks for the advice.

Why do you want an uprated unit? I appreciate your standard unit has a hole in it.

An uprated intercooler wont make the car go faster without adjusting the fuel pump too. That said, it obviously will cool input air temps and thus perhaps reduce some black smoke under load.

The point Im making is that you may be able to save some $$$ and simply replace with a standard unit.
