It could possibly open a portal to a parrallel dimension where men are worshiped by women and are praised when they bring home Land Rover parts.

In reality it's the new Ikea AutoBahn, Like all things Ikea you get on it feeling happy thinking you are about to save time, effort and money. After the first lap around you find it strange that you have done this bit before or this bit looks the same as the last bit, what feels like a lifetime and not reaching your chosen destination you refer to the instruction panphlet and find the all important Allen key and a mud map. You look at the Allen key, ponder your thoughts, take another lap, and realise you've actually paid a moderate price for f all. But it seems to be doing something so you just shut up and try and look impressed.

I love this in the comments...

I'm more interested in whether it will increase my fuel economy, we could mass produce them on a smaller scale to create cell and inject the big bang into the combustion chamber thus burning the fuel quicker giving 25% more power and economy, a bit like Hydogen cells and hyclones.

    Swedish, big bang, inner circle.

There could be a movie made out of this, possibly not family friendly, a story could be told.

*the whole world gone in a flash* in the pitch black of nothingness an irritated voice chimes "well done Einstein (scientist incontrol of power distribution to the LHC), give it till it workz, not give it the friggin workz"
Good on them...they probably didn't think splitting one incy wincy atom would do any harm either.

While some theory says black holes could be created in the machine, the same theory also says they would be very small and would probably disappear in seconds. Its not a big deal but I suppose a real scientist could not rule out the possibility of it getting larger, although that would take quite a bit of time.

Some theoretical science years ago which was expensive and useless is now common place, this thing could solve the energy crisis (or population control) or maybe both in 1 hit!

EG lasers, the invention with out a use. Even mobile phones use some quantum mechanic theories. So I like this thing, and as stated its not all that much money when compared with killing foreigners in their own country.

What is all the hype about.

Every other mass transit system around the world, particularly the subway style that go nowhere but run in a big circle have always been black holes for public money.

Why should we expect this one to be different?

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
