    Question System Performance

    Just done some tweaking so would like a little feedback in next 48 hours..

    i made these changes at 5 to midnight on the 18th
    2007 Discovery 3 SE7 TDV6 2.7
    2012 SZ Territory TX 2.7 TDCi

    Ok, Oh Great One,
    feedback, done the poll,
    my rural situation is rural, rural power rural phone adsl.
    the past couple of days the site, continually kicks me out just when i am reading through posts, page loading is slow, pages with photos on them, only some photos come up, the rest are red X's a refresh sometimes brings them up, but geing back a page then returning usually loads them, its weird,

    you have other issues i would think john. all of the above sounds like problems at your end, sorry.

    ok many thanks
    i was initially blaming alexander on his continual simultaneous downloading of many things music,( when both of us are on)
    But having said that, the past couple of page trolls have been going at at almost light speed, so if you did some sort of tweak since i put the previous reply up it worked, for me anyway.

    Hi Inc . The site seems heaps quicker from last night . Last night i would click on a thread and it took ages to load up . Thought it may of been my comp but i still have plenty of MB's to use before i slow down to dial up speed .

    It seems to be a bit quicker at the moment ... and that of course is a good thing.

    We are probably moving to Gippsland within the next year so I'm hopeing that I can get mobile broadband down there and it is still as quick ....

    just done my own little tests on the things i said were a problem an hour ago and last night and its all stopped,
    hasn;t kicked me, have left in inactive, for 5 minute and still didnt have to re log in,
    and the speed has increased since that first post.

    It's much quicker for me, a couple of days ago it was verging on un-usable with pages taking forever to load. It's definitely slower when more users are logged on I've noticed - but I guess you know that already!

    I installed Adblock plus into Mozilla 3 and that made a marginal difference as it sometimes seemed to get stuck (for up to a minute) waiting for an external advert to load (a page refresh usually sorted that out).

    Now it's much perkier though!

    Thanks for everything you do for us LR enthusiasts.
