    Help Bloody electrics

    I have acquired a single phase 3HP motor, the only problem is I aint a

    sparky, the wireing diagram on the motor says connect 240 volts to

    terminals U1 and W1 I guess these would be the live and the netrual,

    earth going to the caseing of the motor

    but which is which..........its a RMX series 5 2.2Kw single phase

    Just wire em up tony and then flick the switch if the rotation is wrong swap the 2 active wires and it should run in the right direction
