But is there going to be a new Doctor??? Apparently we have to wait until 2010 for the next series.
Tried googling if there is a new Doctor but I drew a blank.

For all you Dr Who junkies out there,
Can you believe it, when david Tennant was doing such a wonderful job.
Best Doctor to date I say.
And Davros is back, who would have thought.
Funny though that the last regeneration was in the presence of Rose Tyler, and as a result of dealing with the Daleks.

The Doctor does not regenerate - he transfers his regeneration energy into the cut-off hand he has had sitting in a glass case for the past two series. Relax, David Tennant will be with us for a while yet. I strongly endorse watching next week's episode - it's a ripper. Nearly every character from Dr Who's last three series & Torchwood makes an appearance. The resolution is utterly improbable and ridiculous, in true Dr Who fashion. Fantastic!
so has anyone got a link for last nights episode? I cannot find it on the abc
Ok, I gotta go and find the torrents for this season, i've only een one episode!

The Dr. only had a limited no. of regenerations but he has exceeded that number by a bit.
There have been about 12 Doctors (including 2 from movies). The first movie with Peter Cushing as the Doctor was a shocker.

How good was last nights show!
Can't wait for next week!
And there was a bit of Landie Action on Midsomers Murders on afterwards too. Loved the recovery vehicle..

Correct - maybe. According to the Dr Who Technical Manual (circa 1983), "Gallifreyans may regenerate as many as 12 times in a lifetime". The Master had used all his up so for a while there (during the Tom Baker & Peter Davidson periods) he was pinching bodies from other people to stay alive. Seems as though that concept has gone out the window although the literal definition they have given is a bit rubbery. It suggests an upper limit of 12 regenerations with many Time Lords using less than that. I guess we know the Doctor is special so they can no doubt explain why he may go beyond 12 regenerations if the franchise is still profitable...
Original - William Hartnell
First regeneration - Patrick Troughton
Second regeneration - Jon Pertwee
Third regeneration - Tom Baker
Fouth regeneration - Peter Davidson
Fifth regeneration - Colin Baker
Sixth regeneration - Sylvester McCoy
Seventh regeneration - Paul McGann (one episode movie)
Eighth regeneration - Christopher Eccleston
Ninth regeneration - David Tennant
I don't know if you should count Peter Cushing since his movie was within the reign of William Hartnell so he may have just been a "substitute" Doctor.
(remember 12 regenerations = 13 Doctors)
Tom Baker was my favourite since I can rember.
Eccleston may have been pretty good too if they'd remembered to sign for more than a season.
I really liked david Tennant, definately the best to date.
By the way, I DIDN'T read the white text, I NEVER read the last pages of a novel. why bother if there's no anticipation.
I missed the movie with Peter cushing, sounds like I didn't miss too much.
On a side note, imagine if he had married Whoopie Goldberg
Would she be Whoopie Cushing
No, Peter Cushing was a good B grade horror man and should be remebered that way.
