    a look into the future........

    can you imagine this forum in 20 years time ?

    "i recently forded a river and there was a loud zapping noise. now it won't go and my hair looks like einstein's. any ideas ?"

    and if you think i'm kidding about the potential for dangers...
    firefighters are now being trained not to touch anything marked orange in colour when dealing with hybrid cars involved in accidents. (the ones with the little green telltales on the number plates)

    aha, its taken me a day or so to work out who 'mr. fusion' is (or may well be was) he's that swiss nutter who is trying to do a bleriot but he's jet powered, not 'lectric like the mutant rangie / milkfloat.

    the toyota prius and hybrid cars already have their fate sealed. The chevy volt is coming along with many models to follow from lots of other manufactures. It is a full electric car with 65km range per charge and a tiny petrol range extender generator. It never uses fuel but if you do decide to travel to QLD you will use 1.5L per 100km. Pug are also developing a diesel version (diesels are way better static single rpm engines as we all know) and the guesstimate is around 500ml per 100km.

    Electric are much safer in a crash, in 4x4 they will be even better, with no air intake, you can drive in unlimited depth for unlimited time.
