    anyone here repair welders for a living ?

    my old cig transmig 130 twin has finally died and needs a bit of TLC.

    anyone here repair them ?

    it looks to me like it just needs a new relay but...

    only needed it to work for another 15 minutes so i could finish the rear cross member on the county ........grrrrrrrrr

    Thats very common.If you pull the contacts apart(simple job) you will find carbon build-up in them that stops them from staying closed,carb cleaner-contact cleaner and an old toothbrush and your away.The fan sucks dust through the casing that works it's away into everything.Just like cleaning a MAF really!!!. Pat

    is past cleaning, it needs a new one judging by the bits that fell out of it when i touched it

    Good Luck. I have a Transmig 195 and a guy at BOC told me about 5 years ago that I was lucky, they still had a few spare parts for "these obsolete machines".

    You can borrow mine if you wish. You pick up and return. I am at Norman Park. Currently has a roll of 0.9mm mild steel wire and Argoshield gas. You need a 240v. 15 amp outlet.
