There is a saying "Only a fool tries to predict the fire season"
We are still (or again) officially in drought, but things are the greenest I've seen for about eight years after rain in the last three weeks. And today coming back from town I came across, in the middle of the forest, a truck load of hives surrounded by a cloud of angry bees, with both wheels on one side bogged down to the tray. But as you say - anyone's guess as to what sort of a fire year it will be.
