As I was liberally spraying all things electrical in one of the buggies today I realised that the Wurth electrical silicone spray would work as well.

Dobbo's post but in a spray can, comes out liquid and turns into Vas in seconds.

Stays around well afer getting washed and heated etc but again not cheap.
