Diesel drivers do it for longer

Did you know that diesel drivers do it for longer? Electricians can do it with more power. And carpet layers can do it cleaner.
BP Ultimate Diesel is a fuel so advanced that it not only cleans the engine and enhances the driving experience, but is also more economical and reduces exhaust emissions in the process.
Tested in a range of vehicles including passenger cars, four-wheel drives and utilities, BP Ultimate Diesel is no ordinary diesel.
Already available in WA, BP Ultimate Diesel is coming to QLD in October and we are giving you the exclusive opportunity to find out how diesel can do you longer.
Come along to our BP Ultimate Diesel Online Forum 23rd October 2008 to chat live with experts Garry Whitfield (BP Technical Manager) and Allan Whiting (4x4 Motoring Writer), about BP Ultimate Diesel and all things diesel. Registrations for this event are open now, so make sure you register now to reserve your place.

    Weeds,

Its a sad day when you have to seek help on a public forum...but just to clarify the situation so we can offer some sage advice to you and the Mrs..

You got to be heated up for a time before ignition.
You make a hell of a racket once going, even at idle.
You blow a lot of smoke once you're running.
    Cost a fortune to service.
You move slowly...but for a long time.
You've got no power at all, but torque too much?

Oh...we should mention the leaks I suppose.

    She's gotta love you

The closest BP to me was selling it for 170.9 today vs. around 163.9 as the cheapest of any other brand in my neck of the woods.

For what it's worth, 2 ROCKS does seem to run a little better and return slightly better economy with it, but that's my impression and I haven't stringently checked it. Although I would say that's also true of Shell and Caltex stuff, rather than the imported whatever sold by the discounters.

I used to run Gull, Peak and Liberty diesel (and B20) in my Pajero and the quality did seem to be more variable and not up to snuff at times - poor economy and rough idle. I'm not about to say the fuel from the "big" names is worth the extra $$ etc, etc, but the QC seems to better at least.

    Cheers

You got to be heated up for a time before ignition. yes but if you get into it too early you may as well have the brakes on as you get nowhere
You make a hell of a racket once going, even at idle. That depends on weather or not you have direct injection
You blow a lot of smoke once you're running.only really on take off, and under load but when coasting were no worse than anyone else
Cost a fortune to service.Depends on the model
You move slowly...but for a long time.Better than going too quick and coming to a premature stop
You've got no power at all, but torque too much? But Torque is cheap and power.......is not......

Oh...we should mention the leaks I suppose. No we shouldnt, things are leaking more these days than they ever have in the past...
