Thanks Pedro , DiscoDan I have contacted TR Spares who tell me they do have a kit available for $650 (geniune LR ) I note from this forum (the links you sent) the kit was £250 in 2005 and then $350 this time last year So hopefully the £650 is all in inc delivery. I have asked for confirmation and payment details (cos I want one) and are now awaiting info..

PS ever tried to get a second hand front prop for disco 2 auto Td5 its like trying to find a spare airbag for a defender.

    Thanks to you both

It should be easier to get the parts in the UK than over here in Aus.

As I understand, it depends what year you have, as to what changes Land rover made to the LT230 transfer case. Some are easier than others.

If you contact Dave Ashcroft with the number from the back of your transfer case he will be able to help you.

From page on Ashcroft site at the link above:

If you have the diff lock stud on your unit you will only require the linkage parts, to determine this you will need to find the transfer case serial number and check it starts with either 41D or 42D.
If it starts 61D, 62D, 69D or 70D then you will need the diff lock parts to go in the transfer case which are an additional £ 225.

Edit: I just read you 1st post and I take it that your t/case has the centre diff and you only need the linkage. Ashcroft have a cable kit for 245 UK pounds - see here
