Its tough losing one parent, let alone both and it doesnt matter how old you or they are at the time - it hurts.
Time, and only time, will ease the loss.

Like everyone, please pass on my best wishes, I cant imagine it myself and dread the day, sounds like he is in the best place ie hospital at the moment when this sort of thing happens,
