I assume you will want the locker if you pull the disco apart? If not, I know someone who would want one![]()
Had a few suprises along the way. Some mongrel broke in and took to the dash with a leverI would have given them the player put I'm sore over damage to dash
It has a rear air locker and has been converted to run on fish and chips
The Disco has a bent tie rod and track rod. 1 broken CV. Front rhs guard is done. The inner guard support has distorted outwards and head light support is in poor shape. That seems to be the extent of damage.
I puchased this to use as parts but will be a shame to pull it down as would be easy to repair. But I don't want it as a driver. (I like my rangies) So will fix cv and steering and see if any one wants it before I pull it apart.
The disco is better engineered than the rangie... but that hump in the roof
Saw a thread bashing the 4D56T MJ triton here not long ago.![]()
Well my mine has over 300K on it has only blown 2 turbos as a result off over fueling.
I hate to say it but with the intercooler it pulls better than my 4BD1T 120
Held 4th gear all the way from Wellington to Coolah phyro (Post turbo) sat between 350 to 550 deg.
I will post up some pics of damage etc soon.
Cheers Tony

Sorry - I am a bit lost - I assume there is some background to this or a link to another thread.
Was this your disco and it got damaged or did you buy it damaged.
Cheers

Here you go
Better brakes in a RRC
What am I gonna do now
It used to belong to Bazzle218.
He got taken out buy some one cutting a corner and the insurer wrote it off.
As Barry lives in QLD was to far to take salvage after the nonsense was sorted.
I don't think he wanted to part with it and can see why.
This is another reason why I'm not keen on cutting the disco up yet as it won't impress him at all.
Cheers Tony
Thanks Tony - I can see where you are coming from.
Though - I have to say buying a whole wrecked Disco just for the booster is an expensive way of doing it.
Good luck with it.
Cheers

I'd be VERY interested in the rear air locker if you decide dismantle it
PM me as soon as you decide pleeease![]()
D4 SDV6, a blank canvas
The locker is earmarked for the front diff in my 120" 110 unless I change my mind as it will ultimately destruct the cvs so I may not use it yet.
I also have 2 other Rangies. One has cig locker the other open that could use it.
All I can say is make an offer and one can reconsider.
I should know in a week what we are going to do with the disco. Fix it or junk it.
Cheers Tony.
