Saw my first SVX - better in the flesh

Saw a nice new SVX yesterday at the Adelaide dealer. Big and black and bad

I have to say they look a lot better in the flesh than from the photos I'd seen. The front light work is still "interesting" but not at all offensive like I thought it might be.

Seats are fantastic. I want some in my 110 now. It even comes with a steering bash plate as standard.

The guy I spoke to had just bought it, and was an ex 100-Series Land Cruiser owner. He's looked at the 200 series and wasn't impressed, so perhaps Land Rover is onto something here

An SVX is a bit too bling for farm use really, but I am wishing (a tiny bit) I'd waited a few more months and got one. No idea how much they are but definitely a nice bit of kit.

    yep, useless without pics.

But from the pics i have seen it does appear to be an interesting beast.

Land rover could do alot with the defender if the optioned it up a little and made it look cool, people would snap them up i reckon.

Well my phone is one of those prehistoric things that only makes phone calls and doesn't have a camera in it. You'll have to make do with the web link above - sorry

The other thing I forgot to mention that surprised me was the seats in the back (right in the back, not the normal back seats). Must be a 7 seater. They take up a lot of room though when they fold up so you lose quite a bit of luggage capacity.

Does look pretty good, only a couples of things that would put me of one -
    1) price - although competetive
    2) that bloody handbrake lever
    3) no auto option
    4) price !
