My access to the forum is a slug - thought it might have been my laptop getting glugged up with crap - I did a clean install two days ago and it has made no difference at all - except I cannot open a couple of windows on other sites I surf - I use Firefox.

I, along with a few others on the Two Wheels forum, have noticed FF3 crashes immediately and everytime the TW forum is accessed. We have to use another browser on there. Oddly, the Overlander forum run by the same mob does not have this problem.

I had no joy with FF3 so I went back to FF2.0.0.17. and the world was at peace

At home, with Optus cable broadband, it's not much faster.

One problem that has been apparent recently at home and at work is that after submitting an edit to a page, it often sits there working away for up to 10 minutes or more - in fact, I usually end up giving up waiting for it and closing the page. Opening up another window shows the page actually has been saved. This happens with both IE6 and Google Chrome - this only happens on AULRO (Dunno about with FF2 or FF3 as I've deleted both as they crashed the computer far too often).
    Good evening Ron,

If I understand you correctly I have found that the quick edit takes along time. I "revert" to "Go Advanced" and the response is "nominal" to use the American jargon. The changes I have made in quick edit to my spelling to avoid your approbation have been registered in advance edit mode press save and they are delivered expeditiously.

    Happy to discuss via telephone.
