    Scorpion gone bust!

For you UK types, I just read on a UK LR Forum that Scorpion Racing has gone under

They were one of the big alternative LR suppliers, although not everyone liked them (polite understatement....) and some would say it is Karma!

    Hard to believe.

Yep saw on a couple forums rumours... confirmed though?

Maybe Stuart can confirm as fairly sure he is the Aussie distributor.

    Smile Scorpion.

My rear wheel carrier from them appeared good to start with but the holes the pins go through are wearing rapidly and I think it may just rust through and fall off the back of the Defender!
Problem is all the sharp edges so the powder coat splits along them and then a bit of moisture gets in and now it looks awful.
Might have to do a bit of cleaning up and painting it before I flog the Defender, as I don't want it looking as if it's been dipped in the ocean.

There are various rumours floating around the UK forums.

It is also compounded by apparently Scrapiron moving premises. Also a new scrapiron racing has been registered at Companies House in London.

Personally I will not buy any more items from Scrapiron. Scrapiron appears to have low business ethics and also are not a manufacturer but acts as a distributor/rebrander. One of their main suppliers is about 3 miles from where I live so I can buy some of their items at a fraction of the price.

    Regards

    Brendan
