    Scary but is it fake?

Quote from email....Although this looks like a pic taken from a hollywood movie, it is infact a real photo, taken near the south African coast during a Military exercise by the British navy.

IT HAS BEEN NOMINATED BY THE NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC AS "THE PHOTO OF THE YEAR"

It looks pretty real to me

In 1980 I was aircrew onboard the aircraft carrier HMAS Melbourne deployed in the NW Indian Ocean. We were going to relieve a US carrier in the region. Before sailing we were briefed on two instances where downed US navy aircrew from the ship we were relieving had been taken by sharks while being winched - one was taken from the waist down while still in the water and the second had his legs or a leg taken off while being lifted from the water.

We had a couple of aircraft crash off the ship and soon after the pilots were recovered there were large sharks in the area where the aircraft sank.

So - while the pic may be a fake, the scenio is feasible.
