Very nice! We haven't seen a Series round our area for about a year (except ours of course!). I was beginning to think people aren't driving them round Sydney any more.

That's Phillip H's, one of the REMLR guys.

It's a very nice example of what can be done!

Umm, that's how you park a nice car. It might be inconsiderate, but a person even more inconsiderate is likely to fling their door open at light speed straight into your paintwork. Whenever I drive my employer's BMW, I park across two spots so no one can park next to me and wreck the paintwork.

...as opposed to the disgruntled soul who runs their keys up the side of it to get you back for hogging two car spaces?

Anyone who has actually parked a Series 109 in a shopping centre car park will appreciate the real reason it is parked like that!

True, but in terms of the risk assessment to me, it's much more likely that someone will fling a door open and dent your car, taking into account that this can happen by accident or intentionally. Keying someone's car is never an accident.

It's the only way to avoid expensive lessons, too many people have no respect for other people's property.

Having said all that, I drive a 10 yo LR so I hardly care about small scratches from car parks.
