Disaster CQ -Bedford Weir Bladder Failure

Just reported that 10 000 megalitres wall of water surging down stream - 4 people reported missing -- Disaster relief crews with flood boats and chopper on way to scene. Another 3 weirs before it gets to the Rockhampton Barrage so hopefully the other weirs along the stream don't fail. All weirs are currently full I think.

here is a site with some design info and pic of wall when low and overflowing. Staff Web Page

another site with location of weirs http://www.sunwater.com.au/flash/water_storage.swf

cant speak for the size of the hailstones but i know on saturday i had a look at a VZ commodore wagon that had copped a flogging in the hail, there was a dent in the drivers side guard right above the headlight that was easily 20mm deep and fist sized!
