.......spin their webs on the wing mirrors?
Have you noticed this too?
I used to think that the modern wing mirror as found on the Disco and most other proper vehicles afforded a cosy spot behind the mirror to hide and have babies...but no such haven exists within the Defender mirrors...and yet the arachnid has chosen mine for its web!
There must be a rational explanation but the crazy ones might be interesting as well.

Maybe the spiders think that when you drive the web might catch insects lol.
When my dad had the disco every morning there would be lots of webs on the mirror and then he'd get rid of them and in the next morning there would be more webs there as though they had been there for a month, same happens with my mums holden commodore. pretty annoying when theres a big spider there. Behind the mirror is a perfect place for the little buggers to hide, and breed.
Cheers!
Andy.
Mortein, is not regarded as washing
The buggers spin their webs all around the hinges of the rear door on my disco. Plus in and around the roof rack legs.
My other car that is kept in the garage is arachnid free.
As soon as I spray them another moves in.
I just think it adds character!![]()
I went out and checked mine - both mirrors. Never mind, I go to town tomorrow, and they will blow off.
