Does anyone know the name of the track I have attached? It was done by a foreign choir at the Melbourne Concert Hall a few years back, I was playing in their orchestra, but I can't remember title. The composer was quite prolific I believe, died recently I think...
Yes that is a Td5 revving you can hear, I ripped it, and no I don't think the "Td5 remix" sounds good![]()

Nope, that was that fake latin song by ERA YouTube - Official Era - Ameno [Real Music Video]
Similar yeah though!!
Ahhhh! Latin is the word that triggered it for me.
The Wyvern Singers at our school Speech day sang it. I recall being especially impressed by them singing in Latin. It is a most magical song, I was honestly just blown away by it.
The song is called Adiemus by Karl Jenkins.

It was also in Lord of the Rings performed by Enya.

Enya.
And I just spent twenty minutes listening to dated synthesisers trying to work out which one.
Curse you red baron.
Ahh the AULRO turnaround, 1hr9mins. Just ordered the sheets, though it'll take me years to end up like this guy YouTube - Adiemus solo piano lol.
Perhaps I should be out there fixing those suspension bushes instead, or spending my days actually contributing to this country's GDP![]()
I've just been googling around about this, and learning about its development. Its no surprise that Enya produced her own version, and it would have been interesting if she mixed it with someone like Deep Forest etc.
It seems that when Karl Jenkins created the song, he was using words like Adiemus in order to create a sort of unknown language. He was looking at the words as a musical tool, and all of the lyrics have been created phonetically rather than as words
It was interesting, as it wasn't for quite a few years that he realised that Adiemus or a slight derivative of it had a latin meaning which of course is "We will draw near", something which no doubt lives within the spirit and mood of the song.
Its an impressive song to listen to as composed by Karl Jenkins and even Enya, though this pales in comparison to when it is sung by a tuned female choir with teenage vocals, such as how I heard it. That is something to behold!
