Great show
Andy.
Thanks for that, might watch it, I enjoyed Long Way around and I'm a rider myself.
I would watch anything Ewan Mcgregor would do, I believe that his wife joins him at the end of the trip on her own motorbike and has a few wipe outs....
Anyway, for a real girl bike African overland adventure read:
"Red tape and white knucles", by Lois Pryce.
Have both Long Ways on DVD. The wife reackons I shouldn't watch either as I get really depressed with our lack of camping & touring at this stage of our lives .......
In January 20th....9.30pm on Nat Geo Adventure....Charley as in Charley and Ewan...Charley is doing a show called "By Any Means" travelling from his home town in Ireland to Sydney...anyway he can.....should be a good watch,
Regards
Stevo
I've got the DVDs here -- my son had them in his collection. Elisabeth started watching it on the flights to/from NZ this week. I'll look at them soon.
Just for you Sneigy, we got my son's Suzuki V-Strom back last week. Today I charged the battery (it was dead flat having been left with the ignition on since February). I hit the starter, and away it went!

* Long Way Round - Brilliant.
* Long Way Down - Great journey but the program was a bit of a disappointment.
* By Any Means - Excellent.
I too am a rider... and I've got a GS.
