It's funny to should mention that.... I live in Northcote, and I've just been around the corner to a cafe. And there are about 10 skinheads in the area right now... never seen them here before. Coincidence ?

I have no compassion
Why
well i have not been a cop in this country but I have been a cop or with security forces in other countries, where this sort of skin head, nationalism is common and often supported by the government of the day. To see instances like this on a DAYLY basis, THAT MEENS every Day.
What would this kid do next? Start making Bombs? Because that is where it will go, because that’s where its gone every where else.
We pay the cops to put themselves in positions of conflict and harm, this is what we expect of them yet the majority does not respect them for doing this for us. Imagine if the cops just run away? There are many western countries where the cops would have done just that! What would the dogooders reaction be like then?
I trucked out at 430am this morning to do a quick job on the other side of town, check point on the way there and another on the way back. Think about it, what a horrible job, 4am standing in the wind and the cold ( I had my heater on) and looking at the empty cars parked further on I would say doing a good job. Any way both times we had a quick chat about the county. but I suspect they were just as interested in the Kit I had hanging off it. ( ladder, harness rope, shackles etc)
just looking at the pic why is that it screams Im an annoying rapper stoner whose about to encounter the slipperly slope of heavy drugs and do something dumb with my life?
I support the coppers 110%. I sure as hell wouldn't like to be a copper in this day and age ... must be more and more difficult each year.
I was thinking more along the lines of the dopey look on his dial and the fact that his jocks are higher than his trousers.
just noticed they pulled down the myspace page pretty quick once its existance hit the press but... (and these are all direct cut and pastes...)

from other places
* Tyler Cassidy is involved in a fight at family home in Northcote, and takes two knives but family members disarm him.
* Tyler leaves the house angry and upset and goes to Northcote Plaza shopping centre. He goes into K-Mart store and steals two knives, according to a witness. He slashed boxes as he left armed with the knives. Police are contacted.
* Tyler is seen behaving irrationally with the knives in the centre carpark and goes to All Nations Park next to the shopping centre. More calls to police are made.
* Four police officers - two males and two females - arrive and try to negotiate with the boy.
* He approaches officers so they deploy capsicum spray, but it does not subdue him.
* Tyler urges police to kill him or he will kill them. He approaches one officer and a warning shot is fired. He ignores demands to back off and three of the four officers fire, killing him.
after tracking down archive copies of the websites related to the mob he associated with I have 2 things that I need to say and I dont care who it ****es off.
1. looking at all the info available yep hes a right mummies little boy nothing is ever his fault his parents never did anything wrong and in all probability anyone who thought other wise must have been seriously deranged or judmentalist or a fascist pig... well thats what the family would have you believe now where have I seen this before? oh yeah in the psycologists descriptions of how most families described their convicted mass murdering relatives.
2. If what he (and his cronies) stood for and promoted is what now passes as acceptable Australian standards then cancel my passport and citizenship Im off to Antartica
Good Cop does exactly what He or She Swore an Oath to do to Serve And Protect.
My prayers go out to any family that loses a Member to such a Tragedy as well as the Officers and Other Service Personel involved with such a Tragic Loss.
We all want public safety, I 4 1 want the People Trained to deal with incidents to follow their Training and Uphold the law.
A Very CLose friend of mine was in that same position some
time ago and Years, Years later has still not come to terms with the choice he had to make. He or His partner may not B here today other than for his Brave Actions. Sad result We Must All Admit.
BUT
Nobody goes up against the System in the manner some Individuals do.'

These people go well BEYOND the normal everyday events that U and I find ourselves involved with, To make the Hard choices they do, we must all learn to support these very Admirable Individuals as well as their Families.

Thanks to ALL of the posters, its certainly been an interesting topic to follow.
In my opinion, a fair number of character assessments here say more about the thread posters than the dead kid. Keep 'em coming & get it off your chest!

3 shooters, must have been close to shooting the other officer.
