That's why we got a tall shed, because the Defender wouldn't fit in our old garage with the roof rack on, & neither would the old caravan. Now I've managed to fit all sorts of stuff in:o:

Agree with the carpet under the Landies. It does provide a warmer surface to lay on & soaks up the oil leaks, not that any of mine leak.
