Good job dude..That looks great..
Hi Guys , Decided to paint the bonnet on Elmo as he had a lot of scratches . First thing first i busted out the masking tape and followed the crease in the bonnet as best i could . Once i was happy with masking up i got some 800 wet and dry and spent some time sanding back the area (be careful not to take it back to bare metal ). Then took the bonnet off the disco and finished taping some paper to the rest of the bonnet to avoid over spray . Mixed up the paint as directed on the can and sprayed a first thin coat . Being a quick drying enamel i only had to wait a couple of minutes between coats . I applied 5 coats leaving a time gap between coats . after 20 minutes after the last coat i took all the tape and paper off . be careful when taking the tape off on the paint line . Fitted the bonnet back to the disco and let dry in the sun for another hour . I wasn't to happy with the edge of the paint so i bought some pin striping and neatened up the edges . Heres a few pics of my morning of painting.
This is the first time i have ever done pin striping.
Good job dude..That looks great..
Very nice Mick!!! i'd love to do that to mine but i don't think it would look very good with the green
In that pic it looks like you have painted your snorkel black to
