geez, i don't have enough time to keep up with aulro
i do pop into the hut forum every other day
With the temporary absence of Outerlimits web site ( back soon I hope ), I was just wondering what sites others frequent.
Needless to say, AULRO has got to be the top site but I regularly visit a number of good Aussie sites that can be pretty interesting, even if there not LR oriented.
I find the crew at Australia4WD a friendly bunch.
Australia4WD The Four Wheel Drive and Camper Trailer Resource
d2au are also a friendly bunch but unfortunately, the site doesn’t get the number of visitors it should.

The Kombiclub web site is another good site and for those planning their trip to Cape York, might pay you to go over to the Kombiclub site and ask some questions there as a number of Kombis did the trip in the middle of this year.
They have a good DVD of the trip.

Although I don’t spend to much time there, the PATROL 4X4 site also has a good crew.

The Pathfinder’s web site is another handy site.

An old one but a good one is Overland.
Overlander 4WD :: Index
4X4EARTH seems to be a new site but still a good bunch.

If your into fishing the Ausfish site is a good one.
Australian Fishing Community Chatboards - Fishing Forums
I found the Woodwork Forum one of the most interesting non 4x4 sites I’ve come across, for info on any handyman work you might want to do and they have a section on 4x4s

If you have a Jayco then the Jayco forum is a must see site. Good for loads of discussions about all things Jayco and is well supported by Jayco.

I don’t know about the rest of you but over the last year or so, I have found EO site has just lost it’s value. I use to spend nearly as much time there as I did here but of late, I don’t think I go there once a month.
What sites do the rest of you visit

The ones that I frequent are:
Overlander
Is a good sociable 4WD forum if you dont take things too seriously
Overlander 4WD :: Index
Outerlimits
Really good harder core 4WD forum, great people, excellent tech and knowledge base. Everything from highly modded but registered to crawling buggies etc
Outer Limits 4x4 Board :: Index
D2Au <- Must join for all of you Discovery2 owners! This group is exceptionally knowledgable in all aspects of Disco2's and there is not a finer bunch of people you will ever meet.(Email and/or Web based)

Pirate4x4 (US)
Hare core and extreme 4x4 - highest level tech, where the gurus hang out, pedantic about accuracy and quality - they 've done it, broken it and reengineered before you've thought about it. This is engineering and fabrication central, not bolt on kit or 2" lifts.

Oh.... and also this one:Its about a man and his insatiable desire to mod his rovers.

Aulro is the only site that I try to check each day.
The only only other site that that I like to check at least
once a week and the one that provides me with my
desk top photo's is,
www.domai.com
cheers.
Hi olbob, not really the sort of site I was referring to and I think you need to post an adults only warning on that one.
My 3 musts for the day are AULRO, OuterLimits and AMTRA www.amtra.com.au (I am currently President of that club and a Life member)
I also check out the newspapers, Australian 4wd Action, Dirt Bike World and the Rover section on Ebay.
Ian
Now there’s an irony, amtravic1, while you are a life member of amtra and visit 4wd Action, I’ll go visit your amtra site and I have a life time ban from 4wd Actin’s web site.
Irony, what!
